Our Favourite from 2017!

Good Morning!
The Your Next Stamp DT is doing something different for the end of this year, we are sharing our favourite project from 2017! This will wrap up another wonderful year of YNS releases and makes way for some new and exciting releases for 2018!

My pick for my favourite is from our May Feature Day!
This card features Life's A Hoot stamps and dies and I personally love the way the background night sky came out when I was creating it! The Distress ink background was perfect for the little owl and bat.

Here is what I used for the card:

Over the next 12 days, one of the designers and their favourite project will be in the spotlight each day.  Leave a comment on each day’s post, one comment per day per person.  One winner will be selected among all the comments left over the 12 days.  The more days you comment on, the greater the odds that you will win this huge prize pack full of our favourite things!  The giveaway even includes a new set from the January 2018 release…psst, the monsters are back and this time they are in love!  Leave all comments by January 5, 2018 midnight EST to be entered in the drawing.  The winner will be announced on January 7, 2018.

Also, be sure to join us in the new year with another Hop!
This one starts on January 13th following the NEW January Release!
I have seen the stuff and you will LOVE it!

Have a wonderful holiday season and all the best for the New Year!
Cheers,
Sue

Last Card for the Hop!

I have had so much fun participating in the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop this week!
Thanks Amy, you do a wonderful job!!
For my final card of the Hop I used an older stamp set from Close To My Heart.
I coloured the tea cup with Copic markers and then cut it out using a YNS stitched square die. Then I out it on papers from Close to my Heart and added some glitter tape!

Thank you so much for taking the time to look and make comments!
Have a wonderful weekend
Sue

Tea Day!

Its Tea Day today!
To celebrate I have created this card using a stamp set from Simon Says stamp.
I stamped the image on patterned paper and then cut out the middle and added kraft. The sentiment and image are stamped in Versafine ink and then I mounted everything on patterned papers by Dododlebug!

Thanks for taking the time to look!

Welcome to a wonderful Friday at Your Next Stamp!
We have a new Colour and Sketch Challenge starting today and here is my card I

This month I went with both the colour AND the sketch challenge!
For the Waddle penguin, I masked the penguin so that he would be standing on the iceberg. Then I coloured the image with Copic Markers!

Here are what the supplies look like!

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Well, we finally have snow here in southern Ontario because it has been
snowing non stop since last night. The roads are crazy and it is a perfect day to
stay indoors and craft!

Here is my next card for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop:
This set is an older one from Close To My Heart, and I paired it with a snowflake die from Your Next Stamp. I cut out glitter paper with the die (you cant really see it in my picture!)

Thanks for looking and stay warm today!

12 Days of Cards- Day 12

Good Morning and welcome to the LAST Day of my
12 Days if Cards Series!
This has been a LOT of fun and I hope you enjoyed some of my creations!
For my Day 12 card I thought I would share with you a card I made using a Simon Says Stamp Card Kit. This kit was released LAST year and is actually a Birthday set!
Now what makes this card unique is that it uses non-traditional Christmas colours because it was intended for Birthdays.  It could easily transform into a Valentines Card because of the heart papers and having a shaker is kind of cool....but I thought I would do Christmas!
The papers are from Doodlebug (LOVE, love LOVE Doodlebug papers!) and the shaker tag and insert are by Jillibean Soup!
I added some washi to the tag and filled the shaker with some hearts from my stash.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my 12 Days of Cards.
Be sure to make a comment and you could win some Blog candy!
I will announce the winner tomorrow!
Have a wonderful Holiday season and Merry Christmas!

Since my weekend was so hectic, here is another entry for the Winter Blog Hop that I didn't get submitted until now!
This set is by Joy Clair stamps!
I stamped the image out using Memento ink and colouring the coffee cup using Copic markers.
I layered everything on some papers from American Crafts and added some glitter tape from CLose To My Heart.

Hope you enjoy!
Thanks,
Sue

Coffee Lover Blog Hop Card

Good Morning, here is another card I made for the Winter Coffee Lovers blog Hop!

12 Days of Cards- Day Eleven

Good Morning and welcome to Day Three of my 12 Days of Cards Series!
Today I am featuring a unique stamp set from Your Next Stamp
called: Ainsley-Scottish Dancer
You are probably wondering WHY I would have a Scottish dancer for a Christmas card.....well,
you see we are a Scottish family and our Girls have done Highland dance since they were three!
(our oldest is going to be 16 on Christmas Eve and youngest is 11!)
And this stamp is PERFECT to make a Christmas card for their Highland teacher!
I stamped the image out using Black Olive Preminum ink from YNS and then coloured Ainsley in with Copic markers. I then stamped a second image into tartan paper and paper pieced her kilt!
The image was then cut out using Stitched Ovals dies and stamped a sentiment onto strips I cut using the Washi Tape Die Set. I stamped PART of the sentiment because I am going to stamp Merry Christmas on the inside of the card.
Then I placed everything onto some of the same Tartan paper (I bought this IN Scotland actually!).

12 Days of Cards- Day Nine

Good Morning and welcome to Day Nine of my 12 Days of Cards Series!
Today I am featuring a new favourite company that I was introduced to this year. The designer is Stacey Yacula and the stamps are sold through Purple Onion Stamps!
Her collections are just the cutest and I really cannot get enough of them!
I used Distress Watercolour paper and embossed the masked image. Then I coloured it using Zig Clean Color Markers and my Distress waterbrush.
The Snowflake Border die and Stitched Rectangle Die is from
Your Next Stamp.

This is also Day two of the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop and I thought this would make a cute card for the Hop seeing that the little penguin is at a Cocoa Stand!
I will post this card on the Cocoa Day- Wednesday Dec 13th!
The Hop runs from December 8th to the 15th
